ASB Classic

We created hype and desirability of the 2020 ASB Classic amongst an audience beyond core tennis fans and fortified its position as the must-attend event over summer through a media relations and ambassador campaign in the lead up and during the tournament.  The campaign built awareness and supported ticket sales by drawing interest to the entertainment, social, food and beverage offerings of the world class event and included a digitally-led ambassador program amongst well-known New Zealanders who were legitimate event insiders.   

The PR-led campaign was supported by a launch event that introduced media and people of influence to non-tennis facets of the event including signature dishes, as well as a players event where lifestyle media could meet and converse with some of the best tennis players in the world including Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki.
